Expos Tag Guardians with 7-5 Loss
|
Though he had a stellar game, Clay Dalrymple could not prevent his team, the Cleveland Guardians, from losing, 7-5, to the Montreal Expos. Dalrymple went 2-5 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The Expos raised their record to 17-10.
George Shuba had a big solo home run for the Expos in the top of the fourth inning. With Montreal leading 3-2 and the bases empty, he sized up a curveball from Zach Davies, who is tied for 2nd in the AL in quality starts with 4, and punished it. The result was his 8th home run of the season, which put the Expos on top, 4-2.
"I like the vibe in the clubhouse after a win," said Shuba. "It sure beats the alternative."
