Wet weather did not postpone the Arizona-Houston ballgame.

Behind an impressive start by Matt Young, Arizona beat Houston, 5-2. The winning pitcher was Young, now 1-1. He tossed 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 6. Shawn Tolleson picked up the save, his 1st.

Catcher Daulton Varsho made an impact for Arizona, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Cliff Lee in the top of the second. For the contest, Varsho was 2 for 4 with a double.

"We have a lot of confidence in Matt," said Arizona manager Alex Baxter.

The win puts Arizona at 9-8.
