Chicago (A) Tacks 4-1 Loss on Texas
|
The Chicago (A) White Sox racked up a win at Globe Life Field, bumping off the Texas Rangers, 4-1. Nathan Eovaldi, who started for Chicago (A), pitched effectively for his team. The Rangers fall to 8-10 and continue their sputtering start to the 2001 season.
Chicago (A) used a clutch at-bat from Johnny Moore to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the White Sox ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"I think we all put in a good day's work," said Moore.
