San Francisco took on Houston in front of a lively crowd.
Riding the 2-hit performance of the former first round draft pick Dick Howser, the San Francisco Giants stopped the Houston Astros, 6-2. The loss makes Houston 69-93.
San Francisco used a clutch at-bat from Johnny Rizzo to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Giants ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Howser.
