Mets Take Tight Tangle
New York (N) right fielder Frank Robinson made his presence felt in the 5-4 Mets triumph over the Houston Astros. Robinson was 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. New York (N) reliever Mal Moss picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Bert Roberge was saddled with the loss. The National League-leading Mets are 112-46.

The decisive blow was delivered by Jeff Kent in the bottom of the ninth when he hit a run-scoring double off 28-year old right-handed pitcher Bert Roberge to win the game for New York (N). The home crowd went nuts.

"We ground out the win," said Kent. "That's all that matters."
