White Socks Giants in 9-4 Phillies Win
A 4-RBI performance from Frank White, who led the NL in doubles with 53 in 1998, helped the Philadelphia Phillies beat the San Francisco Giants, 9-4. The losses continue to mount for San Francisco, which has now dropped 8 in a row.

With Philadelphia leading 4-3 in the bottom of the fifth, White hit a fastball from John Candelaria for a solo home run. It was his 41st home run of the season and put the Phillies ahead, 5-3.

"The boys were really swinging the bats today," winning manager Jason Spiegel said.
