Montreal got a strong outing from Doug McWeeny as the Expos defeated the Boston Red Sox, 3-1, at Fenway Park. James Kaprielian closed it out for Montreal, earning his 3rd save. The Expos have an impressive 95-57 record.

Paul Janish, who is a three-time Great Glove Award winner, had a direct impact on the outcome. Janish contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put Montreal up, 3-1.

"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Janish.
