Twins Net 5-1 Win Over Giants
|
The Minnesota Twins licked the San Francisco Giants, 5-1. Jonah Heim deserved a big chunk of the credit. The catcher went 2-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3 for the Twins. The Twins now have a record of 81-70 with the win over San Francisco.
Norm Siebern went 1 for 4 with a walk for Minnesota. The former first round draft pick had a key at-bat in the top of the seventh. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 1-1 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Pea Ridge Day. It was his 90th RBI of the season.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Minnesota manager Dan Hornbaker.
