Orioles Best Mets in Pitching Duel
|
Dave Roberts brought his A-game to help Baltimore defeat the New York (N) Mets, 2-0. Jeff Zimmerman locked down his 3rd save. Baltimore has now won 4 straight.
The Orioles got a big at-bat from first baseman Tommy Brown. For the game, Brown went 1 for 4 with a home run. In the top of the fifth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 26th home run of the season gave Baltimore a 1-0 lead.
"This level of focus will win us a lot of ballgames," Brown said after the game.
