Red Sox Defeat Tigers, 3-1
|
In a well-pitched game between the Boston Red Sox and the Detroit Tigers, pitcher Jason Hammel was superb. The Boston right-hander helped his team win, 3-1, in 10 innings. Boston, now 6-10, is off to a slow start.
Kyle Farmer, who is rated as the 81st best prospect by BNN, had a direct impact on the outcome. Farmer contributed a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the tenth inning to put Boston up, 2-1.
"It's nice to get the results when you're feeling good and throwing the ball well," said Hammel after the game.
