Twins Get One-Run Win at Baltimore
|
Minnesota Twins starter Mike Ryba pitched his team past the Baltimore Orioles, 3-2. Ryba, now 5-3, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 8, walking 1, and allowing 2 runs. The win gives Minnesota a season record of 79-66.
Keith Miller, who is tied for 9th in the AL in stolen bases with 19, had a direct impact on the outcome. Miller contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fifth inning to put Minnesota up, 2-1.
"We just didn't score enough runs to win," said Baltimore manager Andre Ivarsson.
