Colorado Gets 8-1 Win
|
Jim Golden, who is a two-time All-Star, had a strong outing for the Colorado Rockies against the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 8-1 win. Colorado now sits at 88-58, while Houston falls to 64-81.
Colorado left fielder Marcell Ozuna contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the first. With two down, he hit a curveball to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 142nd hit of the season and put the Rockies ahead, 3-0.
"Jim is pitching with a lot of determination and a lot of fire," said Colorado manager Ben Thompson.
