The Detroit Tigers picked up a win at Yankee Stadium, downing the New York (A) Yankees, 6-4. On the mound for Detroit was right-hander Luke Weaver, who played a pivotal role in the win. The winner was Weaver. He threw 6.1 innings allowing 3 runs. The loser was Sean Marshall. Sean Burnett earned the save for Detroit, his 3rd.
