Minnesota Hot Streak Continues with 7-6 Win
|
The Texas Rangers got a superb performance from pitcher Ken Chase, but the Minnesota Twins still won the game, 7-6. Chase threw 7.0 innings of 2-hit ball. Rick Rhoden picked up the win with 6 innings of work. He allowed 1 run on 5 hits, while walking 5 and striking out 5. On the season, he is now 11-10. Minnesota has now won 7 straight, while the Rangers have lost 3 in a row.
Norm Siebern came through with a big-time hit for Minnesota. The first baseman smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Winning never gets old," said Twins manager Dan Hornbaker.
