Orioles Get Thrilling 10-9 Win
|
Texas left fielder Billy Williams had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 10-9, to Baltimore in 12 innings. Williams was 3 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. With the win, the Orioles have a record of 63-59.
Baltimore used the clutch hitting of Gary DiSarcina to capture the win. The shortstop drilled a run-scoring double in the top of the 12th inning to give the Orioles the lead, 10-9. For the game, DiSarcina had 1 single and 1 double in 5 at-bats.
"This kind of game is tough on the heart," said winning manager Andre Ivarsson.
