The Minnesota Twins knocked off the Milwaukee Brewers, 2-0, in American League action at Metropolitan Stadium. Minnesota pitcher and Homestead, Florida, native Marty Janzen had an outstanding performance. Getting the save was Brusdar Graterol, his 23rd. The loss makes Milwaukee 42-75.

Minnesota center fielder Carmen Mauro contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a fastball to right field for a 2-run single. It was his 15th hit of the season and put the Twins ahead, 2-0.

"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Janzen.
