Lefebvre Homers Twice in 7-5 Win
San Francisco left fielder Joe Lefebvre was instrumental in helping the Giants triumph, 7-5, over the Boston Red Sox. Lefebvre was 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. The Red Sox drop to 5-8, as their stumbling start to the 2001 season continues.

With San Francisco leading 5-3 in the top of the seventh, Lefebvre hit a 2-run single off Boston hurler Mike Mimbs. It was the 15th hit of the season for Lefebvre and put his team ahead, 7-3.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Lefebvre told the San Francisco Chronicle.
