The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the New York (N) Mets, 6-3, at Miller County Field. Milwaukee third baseman Bobby Cox had a superb performance. He was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Pete Smith picked up the win with 6 innings of work. He allowed 3 runs on 5 hits, while walking 2 and striking out 9.
