The Montreal Expos beat the Cleveland Guardians, 7-4, at Stade Olympique. Montreal first baseman Adam LaRoche led the way. He was 2-2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Bob Lee was credited with the save, his 3rd in 4 tries. The Expos have an impressive 70-41 record.
Todd Hundley drew 1 walk for Montreal. The 26-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring walk off David Wells. It was his 28th walk of the season.
