Houston and Milwaukee duked it out and the Astros came out victorious.

Houston beat Milwaukee at Miller County Field, eking out a 6-5 win. The triumph was primarily due to third baseman Emmanuel Rivera. He was 3-4 with 2 triples and a double. He scored 3 times. The win was credited to Jeff Reardon in relief. His record improves to 2-1. Shawn Tolleson took the loss. Blake Parker closed it out for his 27th save.

Who knows how it would've ended, had it not been for Larry Biittner? The 26-year old first baseman Biittner stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put Houston up, 6-5. For the game, he was 2 for 4, including 1 double and 1 single.

"We've got to kick it in gear soon," said Milwaukee manager Mike Ejercito.

Milwaukee is still trying to get off the schneid, having lost 7 in a row.
