Drysdale Now 3-0 After Beating Mariners
|
The New York (N) Mets, behind a great outing from Don Drysdale, who is the 2000 Cy Young Award winner, defeated the Seattle Mariners, 3-1, at Rogers Centre. Now 10-2, the 2001 Mets have been phenomenal so far.
Drysdale dominated for New York (N), raising his record to 3-0. Seattle hitters had few good at-bats against the right-hander, who scattered 2 hits over 8 innings while striking out 6.
"When you have a good rhythm and good flow, it's nice to just go out there and pound the strike zone with confidence," said Drysdale.
