Rangers 4-2 Winners Over Arizona
|
Kevin Bass was a major contributor to the 4-2 Texas win over Arizona. The Rangers right fielder was 3-4 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Texas pitcher Hector Noesi got the win. He's now 7-9. Brett Tomko was tagged with the loss. Felix Heredia notched his 24th save in 28 chances.
Early in the game, Bass had a 2-run home run for Texas. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Rangers on top, 2-0.
Arizona manager Alex Baxter said he was "mildly disappointed" with the loss. "We had our opportunities, but we didn't take advantage of them," he said.
After today's action, Texas sits at 45-66, while Arizona falls to 62-48.
