Colorado first baseman Kendrys Morales contributed significantly to his team's 5-4 win over the St. Louis Cardinals. Morales, who is tied for 2nd in the NL in RBI with 94, went 2 for 4 with 1 run scored to lead the offensive attack for the Rockies. Terrell Wade notched the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 1.2 innings. His record now sits at 1-0. Chris Hatcher got the save, the 2nd for him this season.

Had Morales not come through in the bottom of the seventh, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Morales hit a run-scoring single. The Rockies took the lead, 5-4, and never looked back.

"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Morales told the Colorado Daily.
