Bailey K's 10 En Route to 4-2 Brewers Win
|
Homer Bailey was superb against New York (A). The right-hander, who finished 5th in the AL in strikeouts with 175 in 1996, had a changeup that was virtually unhittable at times. The result was a Brewers victory. The score was 4-2. Steve Kline, credited with the save, is now 2 for 2 in save opportunities. Milwaukee occupies 9th place in the American League at 39-65.
Bailey allowed 2 runs on 2 hits over 7 innings for Milwaukee. With the win, the southpaw is 4-11 with an ERA of 5.86.
Said Milwaukee manager Mike Ejercito: "At the end of the day, these guys have to perform between the lines, and I think they did."
