#1 SL2 Hurler Named Monday, October 16th , 2000 Ed Head of the Madison Express is in the spotlight today. He was acclaimed the best pitcher in the Sub League 2 and will be honored with the 2000 Pitcher of the Year Award. He started 30 games and compiled a 18-4 record with an ERA of 2.29 in 200 innings with 181 strikeouts. He received 20 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Bill McCahan of the Madison Express finished second in voting, while Jack Morris of the Madison Mallards finished third.
