No Late-Season Magic Coming: Lansing Out of Playoffs Sunday, September 17th , 2000 Jeff Samardzija said the "entire Lansing Lugnuts organization" takes it hard when the team misses the postseason. That's the case today, as the club was officially eliminated from playoff contention. Before this season, the Lugnuts had made the playoffs 9 times in a row. In the 21 years they have been a MLB Triple A franchise, they have made the playoffs 17 times. In the last 10 seasons, the Lugnuts have made the playoffs 10 times. Lansing last won the World Series in 1997. |
