Stephenson Hittin' on All Cylinders Thursday, September 14th , 2000 Deputies left fielder Riggs Stephenson made big news in Tampa's 12-5 victory over the Kattegat Val'kyr. He was 4-for-5 at the plate and hit for the cycle, collecting 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run. "My numbers were gaudy but lots of guys deserve a share of the credit today," Stephenson said later. Riggs Stephenson hit an RBI double in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI triple in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Bryan Baker in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th. At present, Stephenson is batting .258 and has collected 4 home runs, 32 RBIs, .368 OBP and scored 14 runs. |
