5-Hit Barrage by Fargas Tuesday, September 12th , 2000 It was a parade of hits for Johneshwy Fargas of the Madison Express at Providence Grounds. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Fargas finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 6 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Express to a win, 20-1. "Fargas was really good and we were really bad," groaned Barons manager . "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." Johneshwy Fargas singled in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Art Warren in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and struck out in the 8th. In this current campaign Fargas is hitting at a .316 clip with 9 home runs and 52 RBIs. |
