Rollie Sheldon Calls it a Career
Friday, September 8th , 2000
After what he called a "long and rewarding" career in professional baseball, Rollie Sheldon has announced he will retire.
The Kattegat Val'kyr starting pitcher said it wasn't an easy decision to make, but this season will be his last and he's now "content" with his choice to walk away at age 38.
Reviewing his career stats, Sheldon has worked 1812.2 innings with 1134 strikeouts en route to a 84-106 record. The 38-year-old also has a 4.04 ERA.
