Sub League 1 Names Top Player Monday, September 4th , 2000 When it came to hitting the baseball, Jonny Gomes had few peers in the Sub League 1 this past week. The talented left fielder for Tampa tagged opposing pitchers for a .455 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 10 hits in 22 at-bats, 3 homers, 4 runs scored and 8 RBIs. On the year, Gomes has hit .266 with 16 home runs, 53 RBIs and scored 58 runs. |
