Behind Hathaway, Tulsa Blanks Raleigh, 3-0 Friday, August 25th , 2000 Goose eggs were the order of the day for the Raleigh Sox as starter Hilly Hathaway shut them out, 3-0, at Sox Stadium. The Tulsa pitcher struck out 5 and walked 3 while allowing 7 hits. "Hathaway was good but he wasn't flawless," Raleigh manager said. "We had a few opportunities to make something happen and we didn't do it. Not to take anything away from Tulsa, but this is on us." This year, Hathaway has fashioned a 6-15 mark, 3.92 ERA and pitched 172.1 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .279 against him and he has logged 138 strikeouts. |
