Garland Playoff Hopes Officially Zero Thursday, August 17th , 2000 It's been a year to forget for the Garland Americans and the club has now been mathematically eliminated from postseason contention. This is the club's 4th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 1996. In total, the Americans have missed the playoffs 19 times in their 21-year history.
