Tampa Eliminated from Playoff Contention Tuesday, August 15th , 2000 In the middle of a disastrous season, it would be understandable if Tampa Deputies fans had already started to turn their attention to next year. Doubly so as of today, as the Deputies have now been officially eliminated from playoff contention. The Deputies have made the playoffs 4 times in their 21 years as a MLB Triple A franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 5th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 1995. In the last 10 seasons, the Deputies have only made the playoffs once. |
