No Playoff Berth Coming for Providence Monday, August 14th , 2000 It's back to the drawing board for the Providence Barons. The club's efforts at building a championship contender fell short this year, as the team was officially eliminated from playoff contention today. This is the club's 10th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 1990. In total, the Barons have missed the playoffs 20 times in their 21-year history. |
