Bianchi: Big Hit in the Sub League 2 Monday, August 14th , 2000 When it came to hitting the baseball, Jeff Bianchi was in a class by himself in the Sub League 2 this past week. Nobody did it better. The outstanding third baseman for Reno tagged opposing pitchers for a .440 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 11 hits in 25 at-bats, 3 homers, 8 runs scored and 8 RBIs. So far on the season, Bianchi is hitting .278 with 13 home runs, 43 RBIs and 45 runs scored. He has 118 hits and played in 106 games. |
