Chiffer's Season Could be Over
Friday, June 30th , 2000
The season is finished for Floyd Chiffer of the Tampa Deputies. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Deputies reliever suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Garland Americans. Team doctors said it would take at least 13 months to heal.

Taking a look at his season, Chiffer has made 3 relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 3-8 won-lost mark and a 2.97 ERA. In pitching 69.2 innings, he has totaled 42 strikeouts and 31 walks.
