Bad News for Wilson and Chicago (N) Saturday, October 14th , 2000 Cubs center fielder Bill Wilson has suffered a setback in his rehabilitation for bone chips in his elbow. He was expected to finish treatment soon and rejoin the team slightly ahead of schedule. Doctors reevaluated him after he felt severe pain in a recent workout. The preliminary examination revealed more damage and is worse than the first injury. Anonymous sources in Chicago (N) told BNN Bill Wilson would be absent from the roster quite a bit longer than originally diagnosed. He would now have to miss at least 3 months. Bill Wilson is expected to undergo surgery in Unknown tomorrow. So far this year, Wilson is batting .255 with 11 home runs. |
