Brewers Move on to League Championship Series Monday, October 9th , 2000 Dale Murphy has led his Milwaukee Brewers to a Divisional Series victory. Milwaukee's left fielder was named series MVP after playing an instrumental role in winning the series 4-1 and eliminating the Chicago (A) White Sox. "See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "It's simple what I did this series." The club advanced to the League Championship Series with a 8-1 triumph at Comiskey Park in the deciding game. Murphy was red hot in the series, which saw him put up a .381 average, as well as 2 home runs and 6 RBI. The Milwaukee Brewers will play against the Detroit Tigers in the next round. Detroit won their series against the Seattle Mariners 4 games to 1. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Divisional Series finishes.
