Bonura Has 20-Game Hitting Streak Friday, September 29th , 2000 Mets first baseman Zeke Bonura has extended his hitting streak to 20 games. He went 1-for-3 in today's game against the Houston Astros. New York (N) won the ballgame, 5-2. "Got a hit and a win," he said later. "OK, I'll take it." Zeke Bonura singled in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th and struck out in the 7th. This year, Bonura has hit at a .298 clip with 147 hits, 16 home runs, 107 RBIs and 78 runs scored. |
