They came up empty when it mattered against Chicago (A) White Sox right-hander Nathan Eovaldi, who scattered 3 hits across 9 innings and held the Cubs scoreless. "We had 3 hits so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," Chicago (N) manager Matt Ida said later. Eovaldi chalked up 10 strikeouts and 2 walks in the 3-0 White Sox win.
