Orioles Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Thursday, September 14th , 2000 The Baltimore Orioles will soon be packing their bags and heading home for the year. The 2000 season won't involve a playoff run for the club, as Baltimore was mathematically eliminated from playoff contention today. Baltimore last appeared in the postseason in 1997. This is their 3rd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 13 times in their 21-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Orioles have made the playoffs 2 times. |
