Players-Only Meeting 'Didn't Work': Genewich Monday, September 4th , 2000 Joe Genewich of the St. Louis Cardinals said a recent players-only meeting held by Byron Browne "didn't work" and may have been more of a distraction than anything. "We know we're not playing good baseball right now, we don't need to hear it from one of the players," he said. "I know Browne means well, but I think there are probably some guys who are more upset now than they were before we had that meeting." |
