Rothrock Collects Cycle

It was a special day for Jack Rothrock at Wrigley Field. Not only did Rothrock's Chicago (N) Cubs beat the Houston Astros, 8-3, but the second baseman hit for the cycle along the way.
The 25-year-old Rothrock racked up 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run to get his name in the record books. For the game, he went 4-for-5 with 3 runs batted in and 3 runs scored.
"He hit everything we threw," said Astros manager Claybor Finley. "There was just no getting him out today."
Speaking to the press after the game, Rothrock said his goal for the day had been to look for "first pitch fastballs."
"I got some good looks today," he said.
Jack Rothrock struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, tripled in the 7th and hit a three-run home run off Bob Kline in the 8th.
Thus far this season, Rothrock has hit .266 with 21 home runs, 85 RBIs and scored 85 times.
