Bad News for Minnesota, Ryba Injured Friday, June 2nd , 2000
The season is finished for Mike Ryba of the Minnesota Twins. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Twins starting pitcher suffered a torn rotator cuff while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Seattle Mariners. Team doctors said it would take at least 13 months to heal.
In 12 starts this season, Ryba has rung up a 4-1 record and a 3.47 ERA.
