Astros Win, 6-4, Versus Chicago (A)
|
The Houston Astros handed the Chicago (A) White Sox a 6-4 defeat at Minute Maid Park. Third Baseman Chase d'Arnaud starred for Houston. He was 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Houston pitcher David Sanders got the win. He's now 2-1. Bob Ross was tagged with the loss. Houston has now won 3 in a row.
Had Wil Cordero not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Cordero hit a 2-run single. That made the score 6-4, in favor of the Astros.
"There's never a lack of effort in our clubhouse. We're willing to do the little things to get the win," d'Arnaud told the Houston Herald.
