Twins 3-1 Winners Over Miami
|
In a low-scoring contest, Minnesota pitcher Rick Rhoden was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 3-1 win. Minnesota has won 3 straight, while Miami has lost 4 in a row.
The game was on the line with two out in the top of the eighth inning, but Sean Runyan didn't flinch. With a runner on 1st and Miami trailing 2-1, Runyan retired Buddy Lewis to end the threat. "Nothing to it," said Runyan, with a wink.
