Bonura Leads Mets to Win
New York (N) first baseman Zeke Bonura made his presence felt in the 7-4 Mets triumph over the Seattle Mariners. Bonura went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 5. Carl Hubbell was the winner. He's now 9-5. The loser was 25-year old right-handed pitcher Dave Coggin. The loss makes Seattle 58-39.

With New York (N) leading 1-0 in the bottom of the first, Bonura hit a slider from Dave Coggin for a grand slam home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Mets ahead, 5-0.

"We were able to put some good swings on some pitches," Bonura told the New York (N) Daily.
