Red Sox Lose to Brewers, 6-4
|
The Milwaukee Brewers racked up a win at Miller County Field, bumping off the Boston Red Sox, 6-4. Ed Hanyzewski, who started for Milwaukee, pitched effectively for his team. Jonathan Broxton, credited with the save, is now 19 for 23 in save opportunities. The American League-leading Brewers are 61-32.
Milwaukee took a 6-1 lead on Hee-seop Choi's 22nd home run of the season. The grand slam home run, which Choi hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Boston pitcher Tim Belcher visibly frustrated.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Milwaukee manager Mike Ejercito.
