Kuroda Schools Baltimore in 3-1 Detroit Triumph
Detroit and Baltimore duked it out and the Tigers came out victorious.

In a tight tilt between the Detroit Tigers and the Baltimore Orioles, Hiroki Kuroda was the deciding factor. The Detroit right-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. Bob Kelly was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 24 of 24 save opportunities.

Kuroda, the winner, is now 9-2. In 8 innings of work, he gave up no runs on 4 hits, while collecting 10 Ks. He essentially shut down the Baltimore offense.

"Hiroki made the big pitches when he needed to," said Detroit manager Don Dinsmore.

The win puts Detroit at 50-40 this season.
