Mets Suffer 6-4 Road Loss
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Chicago (N) Cubs and New York (N) Mets.
Chicago (N) Cubs starter Tommy Milone pitched a strong game against the New York (N) Mets at Wrigley Field, leading the Cubs to victory, 6-4. In 6 innings, Milone surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 3. He allowed 2 runs. Tim Dillard was credited with the save for Chicago (N), his 2nd of the season.
Hank Greenberg, who finished 2nd in the NL in doubles with 51 last year, chipped in a 2-run home run for Chicago (N) in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the left fielder had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 RBI.
"Winning is the only thing that really matters," Greenberg told the Chicago (N) Citizen. "If you can win without even breaking a sweat, more power to you."
New York (N) falls to 5-4.
